My 2015 New Year's Resolutions

It's that time of year again to make New Years Resolutions...you know, those things you say you are going to keep all year, but forget about by the middle of February...yea, those things.

I decided a while ago not to make resolutions because they are so easy to break. Instead, I would make an overall theme for the year, and when presented with an opportunity, remember my theme and make the choice that fits best. For example, 2014 was all about taking chances, and basically not saying no to opportunities. If a guy asked me out on a date, I would take a chance and say yes. If my friends really wanted to go out, but I felt like staying in, I would suck it up and go out with them. I must say, my "say yes" mantra landed me a whole lot of great memories, and amazing new people in my life. Since this worked so well for me this year, I decided to make another theme for next year.

My theme for 2015 is going to be Adventure. I've lived in the same place my whole life, and I've never really wondered very far from my own backyard. In March I will be going to Europe for 2 weeks, so I thought this theme was quite appropriate. This also means taking more day trips to see and do things I've always wanted to. I live in California where there's plenty to do, and yet I hardly ever see the sights. I haven't laid out on a beach in years! What kind of Californian am I??

I wish you all and happy and safe New Years! Cheers to a great 2015!

What are your 2015 resolutions?

My Year In Concerts, 2014!

I still can't believe that 2014 is coming to an end. Looking back at this year, I went to some amazing concerts that I'm so incredibly lucky to have went to. I went to 8 concerts total, saw my favorite band twice, and saw my favorite lead singer shirtless...I don't think it gets much better than that. Here is my concert year book for 2014!

First concert was my favorite band, Panic at the Disco. I truly believe there is no better feeling than seeing you favorite band preform live.

Lady Gaga was next. I absolutely love everything about her. She is SUCH a good performer and always gives 110% in all her live shows.

Next has got to be my favorite concert of all time, Beyonce and Jay-Z's On The Run tour. Both of them were incredible. Just the energy in the stadium was crazy. I think it's so awesome that performers can bring people together through music, it was like one big party! AND, my friend Chelsea made us sweaters that said, "Don't Worry, Be Yonce"...I must say they were quite a hit!

The end of August was Justin Timberlake's  20/20 Experience. He's always such an amazing showman, and I must say this has got to be my favorite concert outfit. Always on that suit and tie game ;)

And then I saw a Beatle. I can honestly say that I can die happy after seeing Paul McCartney perform. I LOVE The Beatles, so this was such an amazing experience for me. It was also the last event at Candlestick Park where the 49er's played, so it was a part of history too! AND fun fact: Candlestick was the last place The Beatles performed together. Kinda neat that it all can full circle.

Fall Out Boy was next. I can't help but swoon over Patrick Stump's voice. *Heart Eyes*

Then it was Panic at the Disco again. Yes, that is Brendon Urie shirtless. Yes, I drooled the whole time.

And last but not least, was Katy Perry. Her shows are always so bright and full of  character! At one point, she flew out over the crowd on a bunch of balloons! She seems like such a genuine person, and is so good at what she does. I always look forward to a Katy show!

For 2015 I have Maroon 5 lined up, and that's it! I need to start hunting for some more shows! Haha

What shows are you going to in 2015?

Christmas Haul 2014!

Hello my darlings! How did the holidays treat you? I hope you ate lots of yummy food and had some quality family time like I did. Christmas came and went so quickly, I can't believe it's already over!

I wanted to give you guys a little haul of my favorite things I got this year. Before I show you my favorite things I got from Santa, I just wanted to take a minute to recognize how blessed and thankful I am. One thing I don't like about hauls is that they can seem like people are "showing off" all the cool things they got. The last thing I want to do is be a show off...that is never attractive. I do love hauls though, because it shows me where people get things that I might want to get too! It also shows off peoples personal style, that I take bits and pieces of and make my own. So again, I am very thankful for the things I got this year, and would love to see what you guys got too! Ok thank you for reading my mini rant...lets get to the goods! (and sorry for the horrible quality photos, I just took them with my iPhone)

MAC lipsticks are my fave! Especially the matte ones. I got the shades Candy Yum Yum which is a very hot pink, and Ruby Woo which is a classic red. Both are matte.

These are my favorite things I got this year! A Kate Spade purse, earrings, and two statement necklaces from the BP section of Nordstroms.

 Close ups!

Other things I got were a cloud print robe from Target, the softest blanket EVER from Costco, and tons of Betty and Veronica comics!

What did you get this year?

My Winter To-Do List

Today is the first day of Winter here in California! (and also my dads birthday, happy birthday daddy!) With Christmas so close, my to-do list has been never ending. But soon enough Christmas will be over and I'll finally have some time to myself. Here are just some of the things I want to accomplish this Winter!

Find new coffee spots!
As a coffee lover, I'm always down to try a new cup of joe. If anyone knows of any good places in the Bay Area, leave it down in the comments!...But don't get me wrong...I'll always love my Starbucks.

Prepare for my trip to Europe!
At the beginning of March I'm going to Europe for 2 weeks! I'm still in shock that I'm actually leaving the country for the first time and seeing things that I've always wanted to see. I'll be going to Sweden, England, and France for sure. So again, if you can think of some place that's a must see, leave it in the comments! I have to figure out what to pack, how much to pack, what to see, and where to go! (As you can tell, I'm very unorganized thus far, haha!)

Buy new boots
It's Winter, new boots are a must.

Wear more hats
I buy so many beanies and hats every Winter and then never have the cojones to wear them. I fuss and fuss with them until I get frustrated that it's not looking right and take it off. I just gotta WEAR IT! This pic is one of the only times I wore a beanie and liked how it looked...of course representing the Giants!

BLOG MORE!
I absolutely love to blog. This is my own little space of the internet that I enjoy sharing with you guys. With working 40 hours a week, and making enough time for family and friends, it's hard to find time to sit and my computer and do what I love. But I'm determined to find more me time this winter, and with that more time to blog and share my life!

What are you going to do this winter?

Christmas Time in San Francisco

I'm convinced that San Francisco during the holidays is one of the most magical places ever. The streets are busy with the bustle of people shopping. Every store display and cable car is decorated ever so beautifully. And so many Christmas trees are perfectly trimmed. It's unlike anything I've ever seen.

This past weekend I stayed a night at the absolutely beautiful Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. I totally felt like Eloise at The Plaza! (Side note, I must thank Groupon for this amazing hotel deal). It was such a fun little getaway, and totally put me in the Christmas Spirit! Here are a few snaps from my trip!

The view from our hotel room, overlooking San Francisco!

The gorgeous hotel lobby at the Fairmont! That'a a real gingerbread house in the background, made with real candy!

 Ya know...just lounging...

They gave us robes in our hotel room. I felt fancy.

My Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies!

Tis the season for Christmas movies, fa la la la la, la la la laaaa! I've already watched all my favorite Christmas movies multiple times and we are only 6 days into December. It was a tough decision, but here are my all time top 5 favorite Christmas movies!

5. Elf- How can you not love this movie? I want to be best friends with buddy and talk about Christmas all day with him!

4. A Year Without A Santa Claus- Because the Heat Miser and Snow Miser songs are the best songs ever.

3. Eloise at Christmastime- This movie is adorably cute. My dream life would be living in a suite at The Plaza just like her. This movie also makes me long to visit New York during Christmas.

2. The Santa Clause- I remember going to see this movie in the theater when I was a little girl, and I've watched it every year since. Such a sweet movie, and it makes me so happy at the end to see the whole family loving Santa.

1. Christmas Vacation- Easily the best Christmas movie ever in my opinion. It's HILARIOUS. I've seen it hundreds of times and I still laugh. I love the characters in it, and how much Clark just wants his family to have a great holiday. If you've never seen it, PLEASE go watch it right NOW!

Whats your favorite holiday movie?
