My Favorite Ladies in Black!

It's almost Halloween!

Time to get your costumes together and break out all your black clothes! I've always been a fan of black, and October is the perfect time to wear it. Here are some of my favorite ladies who can rock black like nobodies business!

The ladies on American Horror Story Coven all looked SO good in their black! I definitely wore black every Wednesday when I watched it.

Hottest woman in black has to go to Elvira for sure!

Wednesday Addams was the original girl in black. I totally need to be her one year for Halloween!

And my last favorite of course has to be Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice. I absolutely love this movie! And her huge black hats are to die for!

What are you going to be for Halloween?

DIY No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas!

One of my favorite Fall activities is going to the pumpkin patch and picking a big beautiful pumpkin to carve. If getting pumpkin guts on yourself isn't your cup of tea, here are some no carve DIY pumpkin ideas. They are all so cute and creative, I want to try every one of them!

Button Pumpkin

Puff Paint Pumpkin

Chalk board Pumpkin (using chalk board paint from any hardware store)

Potato Head Pumpkins

Lace Pumpkin

Leaf Pumpkin (mod podge and leaves found outside)

Stocking Pumpkins (wrap pumpkin in old tights!)

Yarn Pumpkin (hot glue and yarn)

Sequin Pumpkin

Tape Pumpkin

Melted Crayon Pumpkin...this one is my favorite, I did it a couple years ago and it came out so neat looking!

*pictures are not my own, all found online

What are you going to do to your pumpkin?

How Picking a Pumpkin is like Picking a Man

Last weekend my cousin and I went on our annual pumpkin picking adventure. We were sweating in the heat (because here in California it is still 90 degrees in Fall), and exhausted after a long day in the sun. It seemed like this time it was taking us even longer to find a pumpkin than in years past. Too many of them were scratched, or oddly shaped, or not orange enough. After a while we came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a perfect pumpkin, you have to look past some of the imperfections...kinda like with looking for a man...

Both pumpkins and potential mates are going to have imperfections, but no one and no pumpkin is perfect. The weird parts just make them cuter!

They both should be well rounded (haha, get it?). They should be able to stand up on their own. Guys who are able to support them self  and who can also teach me lots of new things is quite a turn on...But as I said earlier...nothing and no one is perfect.

You have to be proactive! A pumpkin ain't gonna pick itself ;)

Some people find theirs fast, for others it takes longer...and that is ok!

And last but not least, it takes time. Sometimes you think you found a winner, and then you look on the other side and there is a huge hole with pumpkin guts all over. Other times you find a sweet guy and then you realize he's just not the one. Relationships and pumpkins take time. You just have to be patient (and I admit, its very hard sometimes)

Happy picking!

MAC Rocky Horror Collection!

The day is finally here! The Rocky Horror Picture Show collection from MAC came out today! So of course after work I hurried over to the closest MAC store to see these goodies in person! I ended up buying the Riff-Raf eye shadow pallet, and lipstick in the shade Oblivion.

The blue shadow in the pallet is so beautiful! I'm totally drooling over this collection. I can't wait to try out my new goodies this weekend!

Will you be buying anything from this collection?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy October everyone!

Fall coffee, weather, and colors are finally out in full force! Along with all my favorite fall things, this lovely month of October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer has affected 2 women in my family, and took the life from one of them. This ugly disease changed my life and the lives of my family members forever.

I thought that it was so awesome the the first day of October was on a Wednesday, and of course as all you Mean Girls fans know...on Wednesdays we wear pink! Today I rocked my breast cancer ribbon with pride, showing my support in fighting this disease.
